Currently, we are looking to delight our customers by hiring Medicaid Financial Analysts who have experience completing cost reports and administrative claims for school-based Medicaid. Reporting to the Medicaid Services Team Lead, the Medicaid Financial Analyst I is responsible for executing established Medicaid financial reporting and reimbursement processes. This role supports Medicaid Administrative Claiming, cost reporting, transportation and private transportation cost reporting, revenue analysis, and audit support in assigned states. The Financial Analyst I must be able to manage MAC and cost reporting work in at least one state, meet internal deadlines, and complete work with minimal supervision. The Financial Analyst I independently manages routine work within established procedures and seeks guidance for unfamiliar, complex, or higher risk matters.
How You’ll Drive Success
- Meet quarterly and annual deadlines to produce assigned cost reports, transportation and private transportation cost reports, and administrative claims
- Manage MAC and cost reporting work in at least one assigned state using established workflows and guidance
- Monitor Medicaid reimbursement reporting accuracy and revenue drivers for assigned clients or programs
- Analyze client financial information in Excel and proprietary reporting tools to support revenue recommendations
- Communicate regulatory updates and reporting needs to clients in a timely manner
- Support clients during state or federal audits by supplying required documentation and analysis
What You Bring to Help Us Grow
- Development and submission of annual cost reports and transportation/private transportation cost reports in assigned states
- Development and submission of quarterly administrative claims in assigned states
- Maintenance of participant lists and supporting data for administrative claiming
- Review Medicaid system reporting to ensure accuracy of results and identify anomalies that affect cost reporting or administrative claiming
- Coordinate with implementation consultants to onboard new Medicaid customers into established financial workflows
- Identify and escalate transaction, reporting, or data issues to the team lead
- Participate in client conversations as needed to clarify Medicaid reporting requirements, timelines, or supporting documentation
- Work directly with internal teams to communicate system or reporting needs related to regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need to Thrive
- Strong data analytical skills and advanced understanding of Excel
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams to address issues and support a positive client experience
- Working knowledge of school based Medicaid reimbursement processes, including applicable state and district requirements for assigned programs
- Ability to understand client and business requirements and apply established financial and operational processes appropriately
- Ability to identify financial, reporting, or data discrepancies and exercise sound judgment regarding when to resolve or escalate an issue
- Ability to clearly communicate established Medicaid reimbursement requirements, reporting timelines, documentation needs, and regulatory updates to clients and internal stakeholders
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, requirements, and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required

Ability to conduct financial analysis using Excel and proprietary reporting tools

1 - 3 years of relevant financial analysis, Medicaid or Administrative claiming, healthcare reimbursement, or cost reporting experience

2+ years school-based Medicaid Cost Reporting and/or Administrative Claiming experience

Ability to manage MAC and cost reporting work in at least one state with minimal supervision

Proven strong written and verbal communication skills

Adherence to Frontline requirements for documentation, tracking, and measuring

Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and perform effectively in ambiguous situations

The full base salary range for this position is between 70,000 and 75,000
