About the Role
As a Mechanical Technician within our Energy Recovery facility in Avonmouth, you’ll play a vital role in keeping essential plant and equipment operating safely, efficiently, and sustainably. This is a hands-on opportunity suited to those with a mechanical bias who want to build a long-term career in sustainable energy and circular economy operations. What You'll Do

Carry out high-quality mechanical maintenance across all plant and equipment

Support colleagues across disciplines and assist other sites when required

Record work accurately using the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

Maintain excellent housekeeping and update documentation following plant changes

Take part in a paid 24-hour callout rota, as well as attending training when needed What We're Looking For

A completed engineering apprenticeship, with City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3

Experience in maintenance engineering within a process, steam-raising, or heavy engineering environment

Experience working safely in a regulated environment, including permit-to-work systems

A relevant health and safety qualification (such as IOSH), plus welding and burning experience

Working knowledge of CMMS, a basic appreciation of electrical systems, and regulatory monitoring experience (MCERTS desirable) Nice to Have
