About the Role The Mechanical Tech II role at JT4 involves diagnosing malfunctions and performing repair and preventive maintenance on ground support equipment and related mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems. This hands-on technician position supports western test ranges under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, ensuring equipment readiness for military aircraft and training missions. What You'll Do
- Operate equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions using electronic, digital, and hand tools to diagnose defects
- Dismantle and examine parts for damage or excessive wear
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled mechanical maintenance and repair to heavy equipment, parts, accessories, and systems, including mechanical & hydraulic components, bearings, and motors
- Repair, adjust, or replace defective engines and subassemblies
