About the Role The Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing truck mounted equipment to meet both industry standards and client needs. This role requires strong analytical skills to assess product specifications and functionality, along with a proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD software and engineering principles. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and sales to ensure the engineering solutions are feasible and cost-effective. Continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to safety regulations are essential duties, as the Engineer will also be tasked with troubleshooting and resolving engineering issues that arise during manufacturing and testing phases. What You'll Do

  • Design and develop truck mounted equipment using Inventor and AutoCAD software and engineering principles; create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Design, analyze, and improve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Develop new products from concept through production; perform engineering calculations, design analysis, and product validation.
  • Optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
  • Coordinate prototype fabrication, testing, and product validation; develop test procedures and evaluate product performance.
  • Investigate product failures and implement corrective design improvements; process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to resolve production and assembly issues; work closely with production, procurement, quality, sales, service, and suppliers throughout the lifecycle.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, specifications, manuals, and technical reports; provide technical support to manufacturing, service, and customers.
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives; ensure designs comply with applicable standards, regulations, and company quality requirements; maintain accurate documentation.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
