Join our engineering team in Laatzen, Germany, the global headquarters of Emerson’s Motion Control Business. In this role, you will contribute to the development of next-generation electric, pneumatic, and hybrid actuators for industrial automation applications. Working in a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, mechatronics, and software engineers, you will help develop innovative product platforms and customized customer solutions that meet customer needs and strengthen our market position. You will collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Laboratory, Quality, Sales, and Operations, as well as with international engineering teams, gaining valuable experience and opportunities for professional growth.
Location Requirement: Please note that relocation support is not available for this role. Applications will only be considered from candidates who are currently based in Germany and have valid work authorization.
In This Role, Your
Responsibilities
Will Be:
- Develop mechatronic, electrical and pneumatic modules with a focus on mechanical design and detailing
- Execute development projects related to new electric and hybrid actuator platforms while ensuring compliance with established development processes, project requirements, and milestones
- Contribute to the definition of functional specifications based on the approved requirement profiles
- Conduct feasibility and manufacturability studies in close collaboration with suppliers, Operations, and Supply Chain teams
- Define and support functional and endurance tests in close collaboration with Laboratory teams
- Collaborate in international, interdisciplinary, and cross-site development projects
- Support project managers in achieving technical and commercial objectives while ensuring project timelines and project milestones
- Develop innovative technical concepts and drive the integration of new technologies into product development projects
- Work closely with global engineering teams to ensure the successful development, validation, and implementation of new products

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or mechatronics engineering or related technical field

3+ years of professional experience, ideally in Automation technologies

Very good knowledge of common CAD systems, CREO/Windchill preferred

Experience with calculations related to strength, service life, wear, dimensioning and tolerances of the components to be designed

Very good communication skills in both English and German, both written and spoken

Willingness to travel (~20%)
