Job title: Mechanical Engineer (12months contract)
About the Role Mechanical Engineer (12months contract) at PMI to develop mechanical solutions for HnB and E-vaping products, explore emerging AI applications in mechanical design, and play an important role in competitive analysis to strengthen our product capabilities. You will be part of a collaborative, innovative engineering environment with access to subject-matter specialists and key decision-makers.
What You'll Do
- Work on Calendar Projects (NPD/PPI/Accessories) and coordinate critical design details with global cross-functional teams.
- Communicate and negotiate critical design details, issues, solutions, and status updates with global cross-functional teams.
- Manage, review, and provide guidance on ODM mechanical, thermal, sealing, and industrial design to ensure alignment with PMI engineering, quality, cost, and manufacturing requirements.
- Review designs for material selection, processes, finishes, and tolerances to achieve product, cost, and schedule targets.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in mechanical design for consumer products and ability to work across global cross-functional teams.
- Ability to review designs for materials, processes, finishes, and tolerances.
- Familiarity with ODM mechanical, thermal, sealing, and industrial design aspects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and root-cause analysis.
