About the Role Alstom is seeking a full-time Mechanical Designer in Taubaté to apply mechanical engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field, delivering space allocations, SAMs, and detailed designs while collaborating with suppliers, production sites, and engineering stakeholders. What You'll Do
- Performing space allocation according to MLE inputs for tenders
- Creating and maintaining SAM in accordance with progressive maturity rules
- Developing 3D detailed designs of design-make parts, considering allocated volumes, defined interfaces, technical referential, manufacturability, and maintainability constraints
- Producing 2D or annotated 3D detailed designs following internal data structuration rules
- Supporting technical discussions with suppliers to converge on technical definitions
- Instructing Engineering Change Requests and specifying/verifying activities delegated to the Shared Engineering Center
- Providing weight data to the Weight Discipline Engineer
- Contributing to stack-up calculations and expertise at production sites or supplier premises for FAI and type tests What We're Looking For
- Graduated from a Mechanical technical school
- Experience in mechanical engineering, preferably applied to heavy industry, with 2 to 3 years of experience (including 3D modeling and drawing creation)
- Knowledge of CATIA V5 (or similar product) and PLM software (e.g., Enovia)
- Understanding of manufacturability, maintainability, and technical referentials (e.g., materials characteristics)
- English proficiency (reading, writing, and technical discussions)
- Rigorous approach to work and attention to detail
