About the Role We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in mechatronics to design equipment, develop fixtures, and support production in a manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes integrating mechanical design with automated and electromechanical systems to enable robust manufacturing processes. What You'll Do
- Design equipment and fixtures for manufacturing processes
- Develop fixtures and tooling to support production
- Support production by providing design for manufacturability and process improvements
- Integrate mechatronics components and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Perform tolerance analysis and contribute to design validation What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience developing manufacturing equipment
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D CAD
- Experience with mechatronics integration
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $136,000 - $196,000 per year
- Location: Onsite in Blacksburg, VA
