Mechanical Design Engineer - DSS Enterprise

About the Role The role focuses on the design and development of DSS (Datacom & Specialty Solutions) Enterprise products, leading projects to deliver to stakeholders. It involves full product development lifecycle from concept to validation, meeting Molex standards and customer specifications. The position is part of the Copper Solutions team at the Global Technical Center in Bengaluru. What You'll Do

• Design, development, and modification of products within DSS BUs, including 3D Modeling, 2D Drawings, design layouts, engineering changes, technical documents, tolerance analysis, and product testing.
• Apply knowledge of material costs and manufacturing processes to assess impact on design attributes.
• Provide input to DFMEA analyses and support manufacturing engineering to develop manufacturing processes using latest 3D CAD techniques and DFM tools.
• Provide technical support to customers, suppliers, and internal product marketing personnel.
• Collaborate with global teams to bring products to production and verify drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Contribute to Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, ISO, and EH&S policies and procedures. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical.
• 3-5 years of design experience on electromechanical products – components and assemblies.
• Knowledge of designing plastic, stamping, sheet metal, and machined components.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, observe results and make corrections. Nice to Have
• Master’s/Additional qualification in Design/Manufacturing/Tool & Die engineering (NTTF, CIPET or similar).
• Material and manufacturing knowledge of plastic, stamping, sheet metal and machined components.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX 11 and PLM/PDM.
• Experience in Product Design, Mold Design, Press Tool Design, and Automation Design. Compensation & Benefits
