About the Role
ESAB is seeking a Mechanical Assembler based in Denton, Texas to assemble the mechanical core of welding and cutting equipment. You will translate drawings into fully assembled equipment, assemble components, troubleshoot issues, and verify mechanical functionality to support production on the shop floor.
What You'll Do
- Translate technical drawings, exploded views, and mechanical diagrams into fully assembled equipment.
- Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, and torque wrenches to assemble housings, mounts, regulators, feed systems, and precision components.
- Fit. Align. Assemble: Ensure components fit flawlessly with tight tolerances, clean finishes, and rugged reliability.
- Troubleshoot with Confidence: Spot misalignments, mechanical faults, or design quirks during assembly and work with engineering or QC to resolve them.
- Test Before Torch: Run mechanical functionality checks, airflow tests, and component diagnostics before equipment moves to final testing or shipping.
What We're Looking For
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Mechanical assembly experience, preferably in heavy-duty equipment, industrial tools, or welding systems.
- Solid understanding of pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Strong ability to interpret mechanical drawings, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and assembly instructions.
- Manual dexterity, mechanical intuition, and pride in precision.
- Comfort working with metal parts, sharp edges, and a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Nice to Have
- Hydraulic experience is a plus.
