About this role
Mechanic
We are seeking a competent Mechanic to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain construction equipment and heavy duty vehicles to ensure optimum performance and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs on construction equipment and vehicles.
- Perform preventive maintenance on heavy-duty equipment such as excavators, loaders, concrete mixers, cranes, and generators.
- Inspect engines, hydraulic systems, brakes, transmissions, and electrical components.
- Replace defective parts and conduct servicing activities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Ensure equipment availability and operational efficiency at project sites.
- Comply with all company safety policies and industry regulations.
- Report major mechanical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Requirements

Minimum of OND, Trade Test Certificate, or Technical Vocational Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years' experience maintaining construction or heavy-duty equipment.

Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.

Ability to read technical manuals and maintenance schedules.

Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
