About this role
Measurement Systems Development Engineer - Vision Metrology
Responsibilities
- Design and develop vision-based measurement/inspection systems (hardware + software) for high-precision components.
- Build and optimize computer-vision algorithms (feature detection, segmentation, metrology) and deploy them in production-grade applications.
- Integrate vision systems with industrial automation (PLC/fieldbus communications, process logic, commissioning on machines).
- Implement and productize AI models for inspection (training/validation, inference deployment, performance monitoring).
- Plan and run experiments (DoE), analyze results statistically, and translate findings into process/product improvements.
- Create technical documentation (specs, test plans, validation reports) and present results to cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- MSc/PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or similar.
- Strong programming skills in C# and/or Python (C/C++ is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with computer vision (e.g., OpenCV/industrial vision toolkits) and measurement/inspection pipelines.
- Experience integrating software with industrial control/PLC systems (Beckhoff/TwinCAT, Siemens S7-1500 or similar).
- Practical knowledge of deploying ML/AI for vision (e.g., ONNX, detection/segmentation models) is highly valued.
- Structured problem-solving, strong ownership, and the ability to work in an international team.
- Good English communication skills.
