YOUR TASKS

Job Objective

Manufacturing Engineer in New Projects.
Execution of planning and approval of new and complex production equipment in alignment with the product and development process.
Planning and specifying complex working cycles and sequences, taking new and modified production processes and methods into account; planning and arranging for the procurement / manufacture of appropriate operating and testing equipment.
Projecting within the context of development projects in agreement with the superior.
Coordinate and lead the ME team and maintain overall projects within development and track development activities; responsible to meet project requirements and timeline; develop and maintain project dashboard for all projects and project KPI- QCT target.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Engineering
Project Targets and Coordination: Agree and follow up targets with the Project Manager or Operations Manager and LCM in terms of quality, costs and timing; consider existing processes and methods.
Production Methods Development: Develop production methods considering market development for production systems; assess new systems for suitability and applicability per constraints and legal requirements.
Design for Manufacturing: Provide suggestions for component design suitable for production; identify cost saving potentials; inspire design or manufacturing engineering changes.
Equipment Planning and Procurement
Plan complex operating equipment based on capacity and staff deployment; define type, extent, and number of necessary production equipment; arrange procurement and/or production of operating equipment.
Determine internal capacities for building equipment; estimate costs and suggest internal or external procurement.
Process Definition and Manufacturing Planning: Define and describe manufacturing sequences, capacities and equipment data; prepare manufacturing plans using existing systems and methods.
Plan new manufacturing sequences and equipment with knowledge from work science, production engineering and economics; consider guidelines and standards.
Use digitization to increase efficiency and robustness (e.g., MES, Hydra, iTAC).
Process Changes and Technical Information
Continual editing, interpretation and implementation of relevant technical information from internal and external partners; coordinate and implement process and production equipment changes.
Risk Management
Evaluate risks using FMEA; consider customer requirements and develop improvement actions.
Documentation and Quality Management
Prepare, update and manage production and quality related documentation; PPAP documentation.
Audit Lead and Preparation
Involvement in internal and external pre-series audits in production and quality assurance; support series auditing as appropriate.
Sample Preparation and Validation
Plan and coordinate preparation of initial samples; monitor production of initial samples and perform acceptance checks; initiate design changes if appropriate.
Escalation Management
Participate in defined escalation scenarios when deviations occur; provide alternative solutions.
Customer Audits
Customer audit and audit preparation.
Change Management
Lead change management (ECN control, costing, feasibility analysis, scheduling); ECN coordination and documentation.
B. Projecting
Project Reviews and Customer Interface
Participate and present Release meetings in different project phases and customer meetings for project status for all tooling and assembly lines and launch readiness.
Project Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
Monitor project tasks and critical processes; implement improvement or cost reduction actions to achieve KPIs; meet redesign to cost targets.
Global and Regional Collaboration
Establish and support global and regional networks; contribute to global and regional networks and team structures.
RFQ and Cost Estimation
Prepare and handle RFQs and timelines; estimate project costs for assembly lines and tooling for new projects; understand customer requirements and draft into requirement sheets.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Education

University degree/B-Tech or higher.
Additional certifications preferred for management/leadership; high-level Excel and Power BI, AI tools.
Presentation skills to handle global teams and customers.

Experience

Automotive experience 12+ years.
Automotive lighting product experience.
Automotive customers (local and exports).
