MD Clinician - Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Motility and Neurogastroenterology

About the Role The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at UC College of Medicine seeks an MD clinician to join the team at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level. The candidate will specialize in advanced gastrointestinal motility and neurogastroenterology, contributing to patient care, research, and education within UC Health and affiliated centers. What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive adult gastroenterology care across UC Health sites (University of Cincinnati Medical Center, UC West Chester Hospital, and University Endoscopy Center).
• Deliver 6+ weeks of inpatient gastroenterology service annually.
• Provide 6+ weeks of annual call coverage.
• Maintain a balanced outpatient and procedural schedule: three (3) half-day outpatient gastroenterology clinics per week; five (5) half-day endoscopy sessions per week.
• Establish and lead the first Motility and Neurogastroenterology Clinic at UC, including evaluating patients with a full spectrum of neurogastrointestinal and motility disorders, performing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, and developing individualized short- and long-term care plans.
• Conduct specialized diagnostic procedures, including esophageal and anorectal manometry, motility studies, and other advanced physiologic assessments.
• Lead a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach to complex motility and neurogastrointestinal diseases, integrating gastroenterology, colorectal surgery, pelvic floor therapy, behavioral health, nutrition, and other specialties as appropriate; provide biofeedback therapy.
• Develop and launch a new, comprehensive neurogastroenterology clinic with multidisciplinary care pathways and innovative treatment models.
• Deliver general gastroenterology care with a specialized emphasis on neurogastrointestinal disorders; provide anorectal biofeedback therapy.
• Contribute to the care of gastroenterology, liver, pancreatic, and complex GI patients as part of the broader Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology service line. What We're Looking For
• MD clinician with advanced expertise in gastrointestinal motility and neurogastroenterology.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and lead multidisciplinary clinics and integrated care pathways.
• Readiness for appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level with a clinical academic mission mindset.
• Ability to deliver comprehensive GI care across multiple UC Health sites and participate in inpatient, outpatient, and procedural responsibilities. Compensation & Benefits
