Job Title: Mayonnaise Production Officer
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Production – Mayonnaise Line
Reports To: Production Manager
Direct Reports: Line Operators and Production Helpers
Job Summary
- The Mayonnaise Production Officer will oversee daily production activities, ensuring production targets, product quality, food safety, and operational efficiency are achieved in line with approved recipes, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily mayonnaise production, including mixing, emulsification, filling, sealing, labelling, and packaging.

Monitor production parameters such as ingredient quantities, temperature, viscosity, mixing time, and fill weight.

Ensure raw materials and packaging are available before production runs.

Enforce GMP, HACCP, hygiene, and allergen control requirements throughout production.

Work with Quality Assurance to conduct in-process checks and address quality deviations.

Maintain accurate batch production records and ensure product traceability.

Supervise, train, and allocate duties to production operators and helpers.

Conduct shift handovers and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.

Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate with Maintenance to minimise downtime.

Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Prepare production reports covering output, downtime, waste, and material usage.

Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, yield, and cost control.

Qualifications and Experience

B.Sc. or HND in Food Science and Technology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field with 2 – 4 years of production experience in food or FMCG manufacturing.

Experience with sauces, emulsions, edible oils, or similar products is an advantage.

Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and NAFDAC requirements.

Previous experience supervising production operators or a manufacturing line.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of food production processes and filling and packaging equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- Team leadership and shift supervision.
- Problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and food hygiene practices.
- Willingness to work shifts as required.
Salary
N200,000 - N500,000 monthly.
