About the Function:

Supply Chain & Manufacturing is where our brands are made, moved and delivered to the world.

With over half of our people working across more than 100 sites, this is a complex, large-scale operation that brings together production, logistics, engineering and supplier partnerships.

It’s fast-paced and hands-on, with teams working together to ensure quality, efficiency and sustainability at every stage. From sourcing ingredients to getting products into customers’ hands, you’ll play a role in delivering the brands people know and love.

About the Role

Working across traditional and high-racking warehouses, our Maturation Warehouse Operators support all aspects of maturation. This includes the filling, disgorging, dropping and bonding of casks, as well as cask handling and movement. Casks can range from approximately 50kg to 700kg, with approved mechanical handling equipment used as required. Auchroisk and Glenlossie are the core home sites for this role; operators may also be required to work across our off-site locations in line with operational requirements.

Operators will be expected to undertake the required training, assessment and ongoing competency checks for equipment relevant to their duties, including High Reach Truck (HRT), Forklift Truck (FLT), tractors and other site-specific vehicles or handling machinery. Candidates do not need to have previous training before joining, but must be willing and able to complete the required training and operate equipment safely once authorised.

Other responsibilities within the role:

  • HMRC compliance checks
  • Site housekeeping and maintaining operational standards
  • Cask loading and unloading using FLT and other approved handling equipment
  • Safety compliance, including following Risk Assessments, Work Instructions and Compliance Procedures
  • Working effectively with external contractors and other site teams
  • Meeting Diageo goals and performance indicators and supporting changing operational priorities

Experience/skills required:

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work alone as well as part of a team and be comfortable working around heavy machinery. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are important, along with the ability to follow Risk Assessments, Work Instructions and Compliance Procedures and to raise concerns when required.

Flexibility is essential. You must be comfortable working across Auchroisk and Glenlossie as the core home sites, travelling to other locations where operational support is required, and undertaking the vehicle and machinery training needed for the role.

Do you enjoy working in a hands-on, fast-paced operational environment? If so, this role may provide the challenge and variety you are looking for.
