About the Role Mattel is seeking a Part-Time Retail Merchandiser (RPT) to support in-store execution at major retailers in Niles, IL. This role is part of the Mattel Retail Service Team and helps grow Mattel’s presence on the floor by placing products, setting up displays, and executing store events. The position offers up to 30 hours per week with additional hours during the holiday season. What You'll Do
- Build strong relationships with store teams and act as the Brand ambassador for Mattel/FP brands and products
- Secure prime product placements and ensure cases are unpacked and products properly stocked
- Merchandise and organize products on the sales floor; construct/deconstruct store fixtures including shelving and racking
- Implement Point of Purchase materials; execute store events and other special projects
- Complete reports, store surveys, and provide real-time business insights
- Train and lead team associates; manage expenses and attend meetings/trainings
- Handle administrative tasks including email, travel between stores, and more as needed What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years old; High school diploma or GED; some college preferred
- Available to work daytime hours during the week; occasional weekends; reliable transportation
- Access to reliable internet
- Physical ability to stand, bend, twist, squat, kneel, reach; walk long periods; lift up to 25 pounds (50 pounds occasionally) and push/pull carts up to 100 lbs; climb ladders up to 12’; operate basic power tools
- Merchandising experience preferred but not required; strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and negotiation; ability to build relationships; professional brand representation
- Ability to prioritize work with time management and a proactive, safety-first mindset
- Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office, iPads and apps; eager to learn Nice to Have
- Merchandising experience (preferred but not required) Compensation & Benefits
- Base hourly rate: $21.00 – $24.00 per hour
