Job title: Math Instructor (Part-Time) - Johns Creek
About the Role
Join AoPS Academy as a Part-Time Math Instructor for the Johns Creek campus. You will teach engaging math curriculum designed for advanced students in small classes (up to 16 students) in an in-person afterschool setting, building relationships with students and families and inspiring a love of math.
What You'll Do

Teach Engaging Curriculum: Use company-created materials to lead math classes for advanced students.

Engage Students: Promote student-led learning and active participation in each class.

Classroom Management: Effectively manage up to 16 students in a classroom.

Grade & Provide Feedback: Grade assessments and provide constructive feedback.

Build Relationships: Connect with students and families to support their educational journey.

Inspire Learning: Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for math.

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor's degree is required; degree in STEM-related or educational field strongly preferred.

Strong content knowledge in math and experience teaching or tutoring students.

K-12 classroom teaching experience preferred.

Not required: A formal teaching credential.

Schedule: Available for evening/weekend afterschool hours (as early as 4pm) and/or weekends.

Location: Must reside in Johns Creek, GA or surrounding area and be able to commute.

Availability: Minimum initial commitment of about 3 hours per week for each assigned class. Each course meets once per week for 1 hour 45 minutes.
