About this role
A private family based in Abu Dhabi is searching for a maternity nurse, UK & European-trained, to lead maternity care, with full clinical autonomy from the first day. The post is not tied to Abu Dhabi: the Côte d'Azur is part of the calendar, and so is newborn care there, without a handover to anyone else. Your employer is the family, and the contract is between the two of you, a clean arrangement for a maternity nurse in Abu Dhabi.
Requirements
- The post requires a registered maternity nurse with UK or European credentials, able to hold sole charge. You should have worked no fewer than 5 years since qualifying, some of it in newborn care. We consider maternity nurses trained and registered in the UK or Europe only, and that standard applies to every candidate we introduce. English must be fluent enough for clinical handovers and family conversations, and an NDA applies before any deployment. Verification comes first: licence, qualification and referees are all confirmed by us, so the family meets only a maternity nurse we have vetted.

- Salary is gross, from €5,000 a month. The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances. Accommodation within the family's residence is arranged and paid for by the family, which suits a post-natal residential care post. Time off and travel home are part of the agreement; the dates are agreed in writing. The family is the employer and signs the contract with you directly, so expectations around a post-natal residential care role are clear from the start.
