Job title: Materials Planner 3
Location: Fremont, CA (Hybrid)
Duties
- Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle. Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules. Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering. Develops specifications for new contract orders. Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprisewide systems.
- Support shipments for new products by coordinating engineering‑owned material to appropriate shipping locations (SAF/ZSA/Wafers)
- Manage Project Services Fremont Mailbox
- Manage reservations for material staged in inventory locations
- Establish and maintain strong relationships between Program/Product Management, Engineering, Production Control, and Supply Chain
- Ad hoc reporting as needed by Product Group
- Participate in cross‑functional teams and communicate delivery issues related to the build schedule
- Coordinate material transfers/movement from engineering into unrestricted inventory location or Labs.
Skills
- Knowledge of SAP transactions such as MD04, MB51, LS24, ME27, MB21, MB22, MB23
- Self‑starter; able to work and collaborate with team members
- Demonstrated problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills
