Position Overview

We are currently seeking Materials Management Supervisor to join our team! The Materials Management Supervisor manages a team of planners in the areas of product demand forecasting and procurement. Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing manpower, reviewing attendance, assigning manpower, inventory level management, and shortage mitigation. This supervisor is also responsible for ensuring employees are equipped with proper tools and PPE and are working safely. This role is also responsible for escalating and reporting out of standard conditions to the Materials Planning Business Unit Manager.

As International Motors continues to grow in San Antonio, we are expanding our production operations with the introduction of a night production shift. The night shift is Monday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 4:00 AM, with production planned to begin in early 2027. This position will initially work 1st Shift and be required to transition to 2nd Shift as the operation ramps up in mid-2027.

Day Shift Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM.

Night Shift Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:30 PM–4:00 AM.

This is a salaried position supporting a manufacturing operation. While the primary schedule aligns with the designated production shift, employees are expected to provide operational support as needed to meet business objectives. This may require working outside normal production hours, including extended shifts, production startup activities, recovery efforts, and occasional weekend support based on operational requirements.

Shift Differential: 10% differential upon transitioning to Night Shift work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develops material delivery routes and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering.

• Demonstrate problem solving resolution, root cause analysis and corrective action to resolve and prevent production interruptions

• Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures and material control systems.

• May assist with the establishment and maintenance of inventory control system

• Develops and evaluates personnel to ensure efficiency of operation functions

• Allocates staffing and coverage, foresee production issues and diminish downtime

• Drive Safety improvements, behaviors and strong culture of safety in Supply Chain

• Communicate across multiple functions including General Assembly, Quality, Engineering and other production departments in manufacturing plant to ensure production goals are met

• Develops 5’s schedules and maintains 5’s in assigned stations

• Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of materials management or supply chain experience

• OR

• Master's degree and at least 1 year of materials management or supply chain experience

• OR

• At least 5 years of materials management or supply chain experience

• Additional Requirements

• Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. • Desired Skills

• Computer Skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and reporting tools. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, and Teams

• Analytical Skills – Critical thinking capability, ability to compare, contrast and quantify, and keen attention to detail, with a strong sense of urgency.

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily business requirements
