Job title: Materials Handler

About the Role Renewal by Andersen of Alaska is seeking a Materials Handler to support our warehouse and installation teams. The Material Handler will receive and pull materials, deliver production supplies, and stage finished products to ensure installers have well-organized, easily located items and to sustain finishing materials and trim inventory. On-time delivery and high-quality output are critical to delivering a First Class customer experience. Primary goal: load the RIGHT products into the RIGHT trucks with no delays and under 15 minutes per truck.

What You'll Do

  • Work with install crews to complete load out in 15 minutes per truck.
  • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording locations.
  • Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders; pull right products for each order by reviewing job materials sheets.
  • Meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and finish tasks as assigned by Management.
  • Participate in and maintain 5S initiatives (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
  • Clean, organize, and warehouse shop area and equipment including forklifts, trucks, and tools.
  • Receive shipments, examine product, and work with the Production Manager on any missing or damaged product.
  • Know what product is here, where the product is in the warehouse, and whose job it is for.
  • Monitor the inventory of finishing materials including sealants and trim.

What We're Looking For

  • Valid Alaska Driver's License
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, highly organized, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control and receiving.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under the company's auto insurance policy.
  • Experience with forklifts and maintain forklift certification.
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of 1-year construction experience
  • Able to lift 50-75 lbs, able to work outdoors, and able to stand for prolonged periods.

Nice to Have

  • 5S initiatives experience (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
  • Additional forklift certification or advanced forklift operation experience.
