Job title: Materials Flow Manager
About the Role Johnson Controls seeks a Materials Flow Manager to oversee end-to-end materials movement across the supply chain, coordinating outbound activities with offsite sub-assembly production and inbound receiving at the production facility. The role ensures materials are available where and when needed, while minimizing inventory costs, maximizing efficiency, and supporting production and customer delivery goals.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and continuously improve material flow processes across both facilities.
- Ensure efficient movement of raw materials, WIP (work-in-progress), and finished goods to support production timelines.
- Oversee end-to-end materials flow, including outbound coordination with offsite sub-assembly production and inbound receiving at the production facility.
- Apply lean principles to establish inventory levels that support production without under- or overstock.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize planning and flow and to minimize total supply chain costs.
What We're Looking For
- Experience designing and implementing material flow processes across multiple facilities.
- Ability to ensure timely movement of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, and to coordinate outbound/inbound activities.
- Knowledge of lean principles and the ability to translate them into practical inventory strategies.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving skills to support production and delivery goals.
