Materials and Logistics Officer

About the Role An experienced Materials and Logistics Officer is needed to join Nestoil Group in Warri. You will be responsible for inspecting and verifying goods on arrival, organizing the receipt of material, carrying out receiving inspections, and ensuring full conformity between materials ordered and those supplied, while coordinating base-to-rig logistics and maintaining accurate material records. What You'll Do

• Inspect and verify incoming goods, maintain paperwork in an orderly and timely manner.
• Organize receipt of material, conduct receiving inspections, and ensure conformity between ordered and supplied materials.
• Report any non-conformance to the Supply Chain Manager per Supply Chain Department procedures.
• Receive and issue spare parts and consumables in the Company Inventory System per user manual and SCM manager instructions.
• Store goods according to Supply Chain Department procedures.
• Coordinate shipment of materials and equipment from the base to the rig.
• Maintain all material records and files per procedures.
• Liaise with crane operators for back-loading of drilling or rig equipment as instructed by the SCM Manager.
• Organize shipment of material from base to rig per Management Control Procedures.
• Ensure all orders (written or verbal) are fully understood and adhered to.
• Perform physical counts of warehouse stock on a continuous cycle; ensure the complete stock is counted at least once every six months.
• Ensure spare parts and consumables are properly stored, labeled, and maintained at all times.
• Report cycle count results to the SCM Manager and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness in the area; keep storeroom locked when unattended.
• Participate in safety meetings and drills at the base.
• Maintain paperwork in an orderly manner and perform tasks safely and efficiently. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree or related educational equivalent from an accredited technical school, trade school, or institute is preferred.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience as Material/Logistics Coordinator for a reputable drilling contractor.
• Member of the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics (CITL).
• Certification in Supply Chain / Logistics (CIPS, ISM, APICS, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Experience in a technical operation is desirable. Nice to Have
• Experience in drilling operations or other technical operations is desirable.
