Job title: Material Handler-Warehouse
About the Role The Material Handler at Mattel provides essential facilities and corporate services support across a large campus, enabling safe, clean, and functional spaces for approximately 1,800 employees. This role focuses on event setup and breakdown, office furniture moves, day porter services, and campus maintenance inspections to ensure professional, inviting environments.
What You'll Do
- Facilities & Event Support: Set up and break down event spaces (tables, chairs, staging, equipment, and related materials), prepare conference rooms and common areas for professional presentation, and coordinate transport of materials between campus locations. Assist with internal office furniture moves and reconfigurations.
- Day Porter & Campus Support: Provide day porter services including light cleaning, supply replenishment, spill response, maintaining common areas, and routine campus inspections to identify cleanliness, safety, and maintenance concerns; report facility issues promptly and assist with corrective actions.
- Material Handling: Properly handle furniture, fixtures, and event equipment; operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts as needed.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment; use proper lifting techniques and required PPE; maintain clear pathways and safe material staging practices throughout campus.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of experience in material handling, facilities support, corporate campus operations, hospitality services, or related field.
- Experience supporting event setup and office furniture moves preferred.
- Experience in a large corporate or multi-building campus environment preferred.
- Basic knowledge of facilities operations and workplace services; understanding of safe material handling practices; familiarity with event setup logistics and space configurations; general knowledge of workplace safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic campus environment; basic problem-solving skills; effective verbal communication; customer-service mindset with professional demeanor.
- Abilities: safely lift and transport materials and equipment; work independently with minimal supervision; collaborate effectively with Facilities, Corporate Services, and external vendors; respond quickly to urgent service requests; maintain professionalism while interacting with employees at all levels.
- Licenses & Certifications: Valid driver’s license may be required depending on campus operational needs.

- Pay Range: USD $24.00 - $24.95 hourly
