About the Role The Material Handler will receive, store, verify, issue and ship materials and inventory to support Tower Semiconductor's operations in Newport Beach, CA. This role operates on a Day Shift (8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday) and requires handling chemicals, gases, solvents, and other items while adhering to safety procedures. What You'll Do
- Receive, unload, store, verify kits, distribute and/or ship stock, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and other items necessary for business support including chemicals, gases and solvents.
- Unpack and examine shipments for damaged goods; verify goods against bills of lading, purchase orders or packing slips; record goods received.
- Notify supervision of damaged, excess or misdirected goods and process paperwork accordingly.
- Issue and verify inventories per instructions using computer terminal, min/max levels and other records; notify supervision when levels fall below minimums.
- Follow all safety standards, including chemical handling safety procedures for storage, safekeeping, handling and disposal of material/inventory.
- Conduct cycle counts and investigate variances.
- Pick, pack, and ship material based on company, customer, and government regulations/requirements.
- Keep work area clean and organized; perform miscellaneous related duties; assist higher/lower labor grade personnel as required; minor housekeeping. What We're Looking For
- Successfully completed the training program for the licensing of in-plant mobile equipment operators and hold an active permit.
- Must use mobile material handling equipment including forklift, pallet jack and chain hoists.
- Detail-oriented and committed to safety, accuracy and organization.
- Able to work Day Shift in a fast-paced environment. Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay: $19.79 - $21.57 USD
