About the Role As a Material Handler I at Sonoco, you will operate a stand-up forklift and move raw materials and finished goods in the tube and core division, ensuring safe, efficient material flow and accurate paperwork. This role requires excellent attendance and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must be willing and flexible to work overtime when needed. What You'll Do
- Safely and efficiently operate a stand-up forklift to move raw materials and finished goods
- Support production by routing materials to appropriate workstations throughout the plant
- Check tags/labels for accuracy and maintain paperwork for loads/unloads
- Load and unload trucks; maintain paperwork and records
- Maintain parts inventory; assist with monthly inventory; organize and sort warehouse stock
- Keep work area safe, clean, and organized What We're Looking For
- Previous experience operating a forklift
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions; strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attendance and reliability Nice to Have

- Wage: $23.66 per hour (hourly)
