Job title: Material Handler
About the Role The Material Handler operates powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products within the DHL Supply Chain facility. You will inspect inbound and outbound items to ensure they are undamaged, properly recorded, and match customer requirements. This role supports accurate put-away, picking, and loading to ensure timely, correct shipments.
What You'll Do
- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, or other powered equipment for up to 80% of the shift.
- Load and unload products, ensuring correct product type and quantity.
- Pull and prepare orders for shipment.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues.
- Keep warehouse equipment and materials neat, clean, and orderly.
- Follow OSHA and MSDS safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Put-away and pick product for shipment or stock.
- Verify quantity and labeling match customer orders; ensure shipments are complete and correct.
- Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
- Inspect all operated equipment daily.
- Complete daily inspection of equipment.
- Assist in physical inventories.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to spend 80% of time operating powered equipment.
- Basic warehouse knowledge.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety rules.
- Ability to work required shifts.
- Preferred: knowledge of warehouse management systems.
- Six months warehouse experience, preferred.
- Six months forklift operation experience, preferred.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (preferred).
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $22.50 per hour, plus shift differential of $0.75 per hour (effective on eligible shifts) for a typical total of up to $23.25 per hour.
