Job title: Material Handler
DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Material Handler for the second shift. The role operates powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product, and checks inbound and outbound goods to ensure they are undamaged, properly recorded for dates, and meet customer requirements. Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM.
What You'll Do
- Physically load product onto equipment, pallets or totes for more than 20% of the shift.
- Put-away and pick product for shipment or stock.
- Ensure the exact number and type of products ordered by the customer are checked and loaded.
- Check inbound and outbound products for damage or infestation; verify product dates and that products match customer requirements.
- Operate powered equipment and contribute to accurate inventory counts and efficient warehouse processes.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of one year experience in the following: Order Fulfillment as an Order Picker and Packer; cross-trained across multiple departments; inbound, outbound, auto store, domestic and international shipping, receiving.
- Preparing product for safe shipment and verifying accuracy utilizing computer systems, shipping labels and/or packing lists.
- Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is highly desired. Examples include JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP.
- Able to stand for extended periods (up to 90% of shift).
- Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
