Job title: Material Handler
About the Role DHL Supply Chain is hiring a 1st shift Material Handler to operate powered equipment and handle product flow in a high-volume warehouse. You will ensure inbound/outbound products are accurate, undamaged, and properly documented to meet customer requirements.
What You'll Do
- Operate powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product.
- Check all inbound and outbound products for damage and verify product codes, dates, and accuracy against packing lists or labels.
- Load product onto equipment, pallets, or totes; assist with put-away and storage.
- Perform order fulfilment tasks including picking and packing with cross-trained skills across multiple departments (inbound, outbound, shipping, receiving).
- Prepare shipments using computers, shipping labels, and packing lists.
- Safely operate an Electric Pallet Jack and RF Scan Gun, or be willing to be trained.
- Work with Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes; familiarity with systems such as JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP is highly desirable.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace; stand for up to 90% of the shift and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Be detail-oriented and a team player; contribute to DHL’s culture as a leading logistics provider.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 6 months of experience in order fulfillment, including order picker and packer roles; cross-trained across multiple departments including inbound/outbound/shipping/receiving.
- Experience safely operating an Electric Pallet Jack and RF Scan Gun; willingness to be trained.
- Experience with a WMS (examples: JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP) is highly desired.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 90% of shift) and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and a strong team player.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with multiple shipping modes and both domestic and international shipping/receiving.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: $22.50
- Shift: 1st shift (4:00am – 12:30pm, Mon-Fri)
