Job title: Material Flow Lead
About the Role Lead the development and implementation of material flow systems across Brose North American plants to optimize costs and increase efficiency. Serve as the technical lead on new plant projects, provide material flow expertise, and help design plant layouts, material, supply and disposal concepts. Work with external partners to develop best-in-class solutions and drive internal benchmarking across the Brose Group.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement material flow systems for sustainable costs optimization in the plants (in-house plant logistics)
- Technical lead for new plant projects by providing Material Flow expertise to the project
- Support and advise in projects regarding the setting up/extension of plants by drawing up plant layouts as well as material, supply and disposal concepts
- Develop best-in-class solutions in cooperation with research institutes; universities and external organizations (external benchmark)
- Establish and distribute best-practice solutions throughout the Brose Group (internal benchmark)
- Design in-house processes (material flow, warehouse, transport) and establish them in the Brose IT-landscape
- Development of Logistics working plan for each plant of North America using MTM expertise
- Design and develop tools in the effort to increase automation and efficiency in the Logistics processes
- Define necessary measures to ensure work environmental; ergonomics and health protection in the material flow area. Comprises technical aspects as well as organizational implementation in the plants
What We're Looking For
- University degree with focus on logistics
- Leadership experience in plant function
- 6-8 years of relevant work experience
- Specialized knowledge in: Logistics planning, optimizing systems, comprehension of systems, high level of intercultural competence, project management and leadership competence
