The Mastercard Foundation is a global non-profit organization dedicated to advancing education and financial inclusion for young people in Africa. In partnership with Jobberman, they are launching the Associates Program, a 12-month paid internship designed to provide valuable professional experience to young Africans. This initiative aims to equip participants with the skills and networks necessary to drive economic and social change on the continent. The program specifically targets individuals from Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and The Gambia, with a preference for those who have engaged with other Mastercard Foundation initiatives.

This 12-month placement is designed to foster professional growth and provide invaluable hands-on experience within dynamic, pan-African environments. The program aims to develop the next generation of leaders by equipping participants with essential skills and a robust professional network.
Eligibility is extended to young individuals between 18 and 34 years old, holding at least a diploma or first-degree qualification, and residing in Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, or The Gambia. Preference will be given to alumni of various Mastercard Foundation-supported programs, underscoring a commitment to nurturing existing talent.

Qualifications: Must be between 18 and 34 years old; Must hold at least a diploma or first-degree qualification; Must be unemployed or underemployed; Must be resident in an African country (specifically Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and The Gambia); Preference given to alumni of Mastercard Foundation-supported programmes (Anzisha Prize, CorpsAfrica, Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, Skoll Emerging Leaders Initiative, YALI, Youth Think Tank, Zambezi Prize); Must have completed the country's mandatory national service (NYSC in Nigeria's case), where applicable.
