About the Role
GE Healthcare Japan is seeking a Master Scheduler/Master Planner to lead production planning for the OEC manufacturing team and optimize the end-to-end supply chain. This role focuses on developing and managing production schedules, purchasing plans, and ensuring smooth material flow to meet demand.
What You'll Do
- Manage master planning, material processes, and related systems for the OEC manufacturing team; develop and update production schedules and purchasing plans.
- Develop balanced production plans considering demand forecasts, production capacity, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate and align plans with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Sourcing, Logistics, and Commercial teams.
- Identify and execute solutions to address production delays, material shortages, and capacity constraints.
- Manage and optimize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
- Monitor and drive improvement of key KPIs (on-time delivery, inventory turns).
- Contribute to continuous improvement of supply chain processes.
- Actively participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes.
- Flexibly adjust to changing business needs and propose improvements or alternatives when appropriate, with guidance from leadership.
- Onboard and mentor new team members in daily operations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in master planning or production planning in manufacturing.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Business-level Japanese and English (reading/writing and speaking).
- Experience in healthcare/medical device industry is a plus.
Nice to Have
- CPIM or APICS certification (preferred).
- Healthcare/medical device industry experience (preferred).
