Role Overview

An established organization is seeking a skilled professional to perform advanced interior and exterior painting. This position involves preparing various surfaces to ensure high-quality finishes and inspecting completed work to maintain exceptional standards. The selected candidate will also provide training and guidance to junior team members while coordinating material requirements and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced interior and exterior painting on commercial and institutional structures.

• Prepare surfaces thoroughly to ensure high-quality and long-lasting finishes.

• Inspect completed work to verify that quality standards are consistently met.

• Train, guide, and mentor junior painters.

• Coordinate material requirements, labor estimates, and project schedules.

• Maintain strict compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.

• Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

• Experience: Candidates must possess 10 or more years of commercial, industrial, or institutional painting experience, demonstrating a professional qualification profile.

• Technical Skills

• Extensive knowledge of surface preparation, coatings, primers, stains, and finishes is required. Applicants must have experience with drywall repair, patching, caulking, and wall preparation. The ability to safely operate lifts, scaffolding, and other painting equipment is essential. Candidates must be able to read drawings, specifications, and work orders, and possess strong knowledge of safety requirements.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supervising or mentoring other painters in a professional setting.

• Experience applying specialty coatings, epoxy systems, and decorative finishes.

• Strong knowledge of color matching and advanced finish application techniques.

• Ability to estimate materials, labor, and overall project durations accurately.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
