We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mason Foreman

Location: Lekki, Ikoyi & Banana Island axis - Lagos

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Description We are looking to hire an experienced Mason Foreman to supervise and coordinate masonry and related building works across our construction sites.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise masons, labourers, and other workers involved in masonry activities.
  • Coordinate daily masonry works according to project drawings, schedules, and site instructions.
  • Supervise blockwork, brickwork, plastering, screeding, setting out, and other masonry activities.
  • Ensure walls are properly aligned, levelled, plumbed, and constructed to the required specifications.
  • Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Coordinate with Site Engineers, Carpenter Foremen, Reinforcement/Iron Fitters, and other site teams.
  • Check the quality of materials and workmanship used for masonry works.
  • Monitor daily progress and ensure assigned works are completed within the required timelines.
  • Identify and correct defective or poorly executed work.
  • Ensure proper use and storage of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Monitor manpower and report additional labour or material requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and organised work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety and quality requirements.
  • Report progress, challenges, and site requirements to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years' practical experience in building construction.
  • Proven experience supervising masonry teams on construction sites.
  • Strong practical knowledge of blockwork, plastering, screeding, and general building works.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of levels, measurements, alignment, and setting out.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Must be physically fit and willing to work on active construction sites.

Remuneration

Remuneration is open for discussion and will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and suitability for the role.
