• We are looking for several new colleagues for the position Maschineneinrichter (m/w/d) at the Norderstedt, Germany site.

• Purpose

• Control production machines to manufacture complex medical devices in accordance with quality requirements and specifications, and make independent decisions during the production process.

• Your tasks and responsibilities

• Operate, set up, retrofit, repair, and maintain semi- and fully automated production machines according to specifications, including computer-controlled operations, and monitor adjustment parameters per specification. Conduct visual quality checks on the manufactured goods and maintain electronic and paper documentation. Monitor raw material supply according to department guidelines. Serve as a technical point of contact for problems, diagnose and fix issues with a focus on cost-conscious replacement parts. Take professional responsibility for team performance and communicate technical matters across shifts. Contribute to improvement projects (e.g., Kaizen) and support the implementation of results. Assist the Process Technical Expert on projects and promote cross-department collaboration. Train apprentices.

• This role directly impacts the quality management system and is QMS-relevant. It requires compliance with internal regulations and legal requirements, especially occupational safety, GMP and GDP, and adherence to Johnson & Johnson policies. Willingness to develop process improvements and communicate business-relevant matters and improvement opportunities to the next leadership level. The position carries professional responsibility for team performance but does not include disciplinary personnel responsibility.

Qualifications

• Completed technical vocational training

• Successful completion of the Certified-Operator training if required for the workplace

• Very good German language skills (oral and written), basic PC skills, and strong arithmetic skills

• Independent and precise work style, focused work habits, good memory, and logical thinking

• Reliability, helpfulness, discretion, responsibility, high quality awareness, and cleanliness

• Strong decision-making ability, dynamism, resilience, and patience, with analytical and problem-solving skills

• Working conditions

• Planned shift work with overtime and on-call requirements. Use of hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and safety gloves. Use of forklift trucks and powered pallet trucks when authorized. Compliance requirements: Operator Certification Program, Regulatory/Product Compliance.

• Work time model: Fully continuous shift operation (early, late, night shifts)

• Salary and benefits

• This position is classified under the collective agreement. The expected starting pay range corresponds to the E7 pay group of the Hamburg chemical tariff, paid as 13 monthly salaries. In addition to base pay, a range of benefits is offered, including annual bonus potential, vacation days, parental leave, bereavement leave, caregiver leave, volunteer leave, well-being reimbursement, and recognition programs, subject to plan terms.
