About RLF Family Law
RLF Family Law is a well-respected boutique matrimonial and family law firm based in New York City. We provide sophisticated, strategic, and compassionate representation in divorce and family law matters. Our work is guided by Authenticity, Kindness, Integrity, and Excellence.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a creative, analytical, resourceful, and results-driven Marketing Specialist to take ownership of the firm’s day-to-day marketing function. This is a full-time, fully remote position and the firm’s sole dedicated in-house marketing role. You will work directly with the Founder and Managing Attorney, collaborate with our attorneys, and coordinate with external vendors when needed.
This is not a position within a large marketing department. The successful candidate will be comfortable setting priorities, proposing ideas, executing campaigns, monitoring results, and following projects through to completion without constant direction. The role offers broad responsibility, meaningful autonomy, and an opportunity to make a visible contribution to a growing boutique firm.
This opportunity is best suited to someone who enjoys a small, entrepreneurial environment and both the creative and operational sides of marketing. Candidates seeking a narrowly specialized role or an established marketing team with multiple layers of management may find this position less suitable.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital channels and lead generation: Manage the firm’s Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business
- Profile, and other relevant channels; execute initiatives that strengthen visibility and attract qualified prospective clients.
- Marketing planning and research: Propose and implement practical multi-channel campaigns aligned with firm priorities; research competitors, monitor market trends, and identify opportunities to improve positioning.
- Content creation and brand: Create and coordinate social graphics, reels, short-form videos, brochures, presentations, articles, and other branded materials; work with attorneys on educational content and maintain a consistent, professional brand voice.
- Paid advertising: Coordinate and monitor Google Ads, Google Local Services Ads (LSA), and other
- campaigns, including targeting, budgets, lead tracking, optimization, and vendor follow-through.
- Website and SEO: Develop and update website copy, landing pages, and other web content; support search engine optimization and conversion improvements.
- Email marketing and CRM: Create email campaigns, newsletters, branded templates, and automated lead- nurturing workflows using Lawmatics or comparable CRM software.
- Analytics and reporting: Track lead volume and quality, conversion rates, CTR, CPC, cost per lead, ROAS where applicable, website traffic, and social engagement; prepare concise reports and actionable recommendations; use A/B testing where appropriate.
- Project and vendor management: Independently manage deadlines, coordinate with attorneys and external providers, follow up on deliverables, and keep leadership informed of progress and results.
- Responsible use of AI: Use ChatGPT and other AI tools to support research, drafting, design, and workflow efficiency while ensuring accuracy, discretion, confidentiality, and appropriate attorney review of legal marketing content.
Qualifications
-
2–3 years of professional marketing experience preferred; experience with law firms or other professional services is a plus.
-
Working knowledge of SEO, Google Business Profile, Google Ads, and Google Local Services Ads.
-
Experience managing LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook for a professional brand.
-
Proficiency with Canva, CapCut, or comparable content creation and editing tools.
-
Strong writing, editing, verbal communication, organization, and attention to detail.
-
Familiarity with Lawmatics or comparable CRM and email marketing systems.
-
Ability to use Excel or Google Sheets to track and interpret marketing performance.
-
Comfort using ChatGPT and other AI-powered tools thoughtfully and responsibly.
-
Ability to work independently, take initiative, juggle multiple projects, and collaborate remotely with attorneys and vendors.
-
Sound professional judgment and discretion in a client-sensitive legal services environment.
-
What Success Looks Like
-
You consistently move projects forward without extensive supervision, maintain a polished and accurate brand presence, provide clear visibility into marketing activity and results, and recommend practical improvements that support qualified lead generation and the firm’s growth.
-
Compensation & Benefits
-
Full-time, fully remote position (40 hours per week).
-
Competitive hourly pay of $20–$25, based on experience and qualifications.
-
Consistent schedule with reasonable flexibility in coordination with firm business needs.
-
Direct collaboration with firm leadership and a professional, supportive legal team.
-
Opportunities for professional development, broader responsibility, and long-term growth.
-
Meaningful ownership of marketing projects and the ability to see the impact of your work.
