Role Description

We are seeking a Marketing & Partnerships Manager to help grow RDIF's presence and ecosystem. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn, and who wants hands-on exposure to AI safety research, frontier AI systems, and community building within the AI developer and researcher ecosystem.

In this role, you will own and execute marketing initiatives while driving partnership development with industry, academic institutions, research labs, and ecosystem partners. You will work closely with RDIF leadership, researchers, and external collaborators to amplify RDIF's programs, research publications, and community initiatives.

This role is primarily remote, with occasional on-site participation in key RDIF events and activities in SFBA.

  • Write compelling copy for newsletters, website announcements, research briefs, and social media
  • Design and coordinate visual marketing assets for digital channels (social, web, email, event promotion)
  • Track, analyze, and report on marketing performance (e.g., views, sign-ups, research downloads, engagement) and iterate based on data
  • Manage RDIF's email newsletter strategy, including subscriber growth and campaign performance

Partnerships

  • Lead outreach and engagement strategy with industry partners, research institutions, AI labs, and collaborators
  • Research and identify high-potential partnership opportunities aligned with RDIF's research mission and goals
  • Prepare partnership materials including decks, one-pagers, and proposals
  • Coordinate partnership discussions and follow-ups with external stakeholders
  • Maintain and nurture long-term relationships with key research and industry partners

Community and Events

  • Promote and execution of RDIF events (e.g. meetups, Agentic AI Summit, virtual workshops etc.)
  • Engage with RDIF's global community across online platforms (e.g., newsletters, social media, Discord, etc.)
  • Assist with on-site and virtual event coordination as needed
  • Build and activate community engagement strategies

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–5 years of experience in marketing, partnerships, business development, or a related role (experience in tech, AI research is a plus)
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with attention to clarity, precision, and audience
  • Proven experience managing social media and creating digital content
  • Experience with email marketing platforms and campaign management
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics, growth metrics, and common marketing tools
  • Ability to create visual assets using tools such as Canva, Figma, or Adobe
  • Experience in partnership development and business development
  • Highly proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative without detailed instructions
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable engaging with senior leadership and external partners
  • Genuine interest in AI safety, AI security, AI evaluation, and frontier AI systems
