Job title: Marketing Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, creative, and commercially driven Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing strategies that increase the hotel's brand visibility, drive room occupancy, generate revenue, and strengthen customer engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels, managing the hotel's online presence, coordinating promotional activities, and working closely with the Sales, Operations, Food & Beverage, and Events teams to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the hospitality industry, excellent communication skills, commercial awareness, and a proven ability to develop marketing initiatives that translate into measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Planning

Develop and implement annual and quarterly marketing strategies aligned with the hotel's business objectives.

Identify target markets, customer segments, and opportunities for revenue growth.

Develop promotional campaigns to increase room bookings, restaurant and bar sales, events, conferences, and other hotel services.

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new marketing opportunities.

Prepare and manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.

Digital Marketing & Online Presence

Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across social media, email marketing, search engines, and other relevant platforms.

Manage the hotel's social media presence, ensuring consistent, engaging, and brand-appropriate content.

Oversee the hotel's website content and ensure that information, promotions, offers, and visual assets are current and accurate.

Work with relevant partners to improve the hotel's online visibility, search rankings, and digital conversion.

Monitor and analyse digital marketing performance, including website traffic, engagement, leads, bookings, and campaign ROI.

Brand Management

Maintain and strengthen the hotel's brand identity across all communication channels.

Ensure that marketing materials and communications are consistent with the hotel's brand standards.

Coordinate the development of promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, banners, digital creatives, menus, and other marketing collateral.

Work with designers, photographers, videographers, and other creative partners as required.

Promotions & Campaigns

Plan and execute seasonal campaigns, special offers, packages, and promotional activities.

Develop campaigns around key hospitality periods, public holidays, special occasions, and events.

Collaborate with the Sales and Revenue teams to promote offers designed to increase occupancy and revenue.

Evaluate campaign performance and make recommendations for improvement.

Events & Partnerships

Support the promotion of conferences, weddings, corporate events, meetings, and other functions hosted by the hotel.

Develop strategic partnerships with businesses, travel agencies, corporate organisations, event planners, influencers, media houses, and other relevant stakeholders.

Coordinate promotional activities and partnerships that increase awareness and drive business to the hotel.

Represent the hotel at relevant networking events, exhibitions, trade shows, and industry events.

Public Relations & Communications

Develop relationships with media organisations, influencers, bloggers, and other relevant stakeholders.

Coordinate press releases, media features, interviews, hotel announcements, and other PR activities.

Support the hotel's reputation management and ensure timely responses to customer feedback and online reviews.

Monitor public perception of the hotel and identify opportunities to strengthen its reputation.

Customer Engagement & Market Intelligence

Develop initiatives to improve customer engagement, retention, and loyalty.
-
Analyse customer feedback, reviews, surveys, and market data to identify areas for improvement.
-
Conduct competitor analysis and provide regular reports on market trends, pricing, promotions, and positioning.

Identify new customer acquisition channels and opportunities.

Performance Reporting

Track and report on key marketing performance indicators, including leads, bookings, occupancy contribution, campaign performance, social media growth, website traffic, and marketing ROI.

Prepare regular marketing reports and presentations for management.

Use data and insights to continuously improve marketing strategies and campaigns.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.

3–5 years of relevant marketing experience, preferably within the hotel, hospitality, tourism, travel, or related service industry.

Demonstrable experience developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.

Strong experience in digital marketing and social media management.
-
Experience with marketing analytics and performance reporting.
-
Experience working with external agencies, vendors, media organisations, or creative professionals is an advantage.

Professional marketing certification is an added advantage.

Salary
N400,000 - N500,000 monthly.
