Marketing Cloud Consultant in the USA or Canada
Cloud for Good is hiring a Marketing Cloud Consultant to lead Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations for clients in nonprofit, higher education, financial services and public sector organizations. You might help a nonprofit build donor journeys that grow recurring giving, a university run recruitment and alumni campaigns, a credit union or wealth firm onboard and retain members, or a government agency reach residents with timely, accessible communications.
This is a client-facing role: you’ll guide clients from discovery through launch and help their teams run their systems with confidence.
Location: Virtual: Home-based office in the US or Canada
Work Authorization: Citizens or Permanent Residents of USA or Canada. Cannot provide Visa sponsorship.

Must Haves
-
2–4 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio and Contact Builder

At least one current Marketing Cloud certification: Marketing Cloud Engagement Administrator, Marketing Cloud Engagement Developer, Marketing Cloud Engagement Consultant, or Marketing Cloud Next Consultant

Experience consulting on Salesforce implementations, including Marketing Cloud Connect and the Salesforce data model

Working knowledge of SQL, AMPscript and HTML/CSS
-
Understanding of email deliverability and consent and privacy rules, such as CAN-SPAM, CASL, FERPA and GLBA
-
A track record of configuring Salesforce and Marketing Cloud to best practices
-
Strong consulting skills: running workshops, gathering requirements, and managing your own time across several clients
-
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent education and experience

Additional Marketing Cloud certifications, Data Cloud (Data 360) Consultant, Platform Administrator, Industry Accredited Professional or Consultant certification or accreditation

Experience working with nonprofits, colleges and universities, financial services firms (banks, credit unions, wealth management, insurance), or government agencies

Experience with Marketing Cloud Next, Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot), Marketing (Cloud) Intelligence, or Salesforce/Marketing Cloud Personalization

Familiarity with Agentforce or other AI features in Marketing Cloud

Experience with Nonprofit Cloud, Education Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, or Public Sector Solutions

Primary Responsibilities
-
Lead Marketing Cloud implementation projects from discovery through launch, including discovery sessions and journey-mapping workshops with client stakeholders
-
Turn business goals into solution designs, user stories and implementation plans
-
Configure, build, test and deploy Marketing Cloud solutions: data extensions, journeys, automations, email templates and integrations
-
Connect Marketing Cloud to Salesforce CRM, including Nonprofit Cloud, Education Cloud, Financial Services Cloud and Public Sector Solutions

Work with project managers, architects, developers, and client teams to deliver on time and within budget
-
Train client staff and write clear documentation so clients can run their systems on their own

Recommend improvements after launch using campaign results and backlogged opportunities

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Marketing Cloud releases, including Marketing Cloud Next, Data 360 and Agentforce

Demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction

Travel Requirements

All roles at Cloud for Good include a travel component. Business travel—both domestic and international—may be required based on project and client needs. The amount of travel will vary by role but is generally expected to be up to 30% annually. Travel is considered an essential part of this position and supports effective client engagement, collaboration, and company representation.

Cloud for Good is a fully remote company. Team members are expected to maintain a professional, distraction-free workspace that is camera-ready for video meetings. Collaboration takes place across Zoom, Office 365, Salesforce, and Slack during standard business hours (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone).
