Job Summary
The Marketing and Development Coordinator of WFDU Broadcast Media reports to the General Manager – WFDU Broadcast Media. The Marketing and Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the outreach, fundraising, and promotional efforts of WFDU Broadcast Media. This position is responsible for donor relations, event coordination, marketing communications, and assistance with compliance-related reporting and administrative tasks. The Coordinator facilitates clear and effective communication between the station, its supporters, and its audience to help maintain WFDU’s strong and consistent public presence. In the General Manager’s absence, the coordinator assumes responsibility for station operations and ensures FCC compliance.
Required Qualifications:

Equivalent related experience and/or technical training may be considered in lieu of degree.

A minimum of 5-10 years of experience with a professional radio station with a proven record of contributions to a station’s growth through marketing and public relations, fund-raising and/or strategic planning, programming, operations and audience development and engagement. Professional on-air broadcasting skills and the ability to serve as an on-air host are preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience crafting engaging copy for diverse audiences.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and various social media platforms.

Flexible schedule, with the ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events.
