About the Role The Market Vice President, Commercial Agriculture Banking – BC area leads and oversees a Canadian Commercial Agriculture Banking Relationship Management Team. The role is responsible for achieving profitable growth and high client satisfaction across the Ag portfolio by providing strategic direction, leadership, and oversight for Relationship Management in the defined market area. What You'll Do

  • Lead and drive a client‑driven culture to deepen relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Develop sales management strategies and lead the implementation of tactical plans for the geographic area to support the Canadian Commercial Banking strategy and business objectives.
  • Ensure the customer portfolio receives ongoing attention to improve and retain relationships.
  • Maintain a high market profile within the assigned market area with internal and external contacts.
  • Establish and monitor team goals; ensure alignment with risk appetite and risk culture in day‑to‑day activities.
  • Create an environment for effective and efficient operations, with strong controls to meet obligations related to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
  • Build a high‑performance environment and implement a people strategy to attract, retain, develop, and motivate the team; foster an inclusive environment; coach and develop staff; manage succession planning.
  • Report to the Managing Director, Mid Market Agriculture Banking; direct reports include Relationship Managers. What We're Looking For
  • Demonstrated leadership of a Commercial Agriculture Banking Relationship Management team and deep knowledge of the Ag banking segment.
  • Proven ability to develop sales strategies and drive execution in a defined market.
  • Strong relationship management, client leadership, and collaboration skills across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Robust understanding of risk, compliance, and controls; ability to integrate risk considerations into day‑to‑day activities.
  • Superior communication, strategic thinking, and market presence in British Columbia.
