About the Role Vertex is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Director, Market Transformation to lead the design, evaluation and implementation of direct-to-patient (DTP) capabilities across the patient journey. This leader will shape how patients move from awareness and activation through care, access, therapy start and adherence. The Director will assess where DTP models can create meaningful value, define the right strategy by asset and therapy area, and build scalable capabilities that reduce patient friction and improve measurable outcomes across assets and therapy areas.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design, evaluation and implementation of DTP capabilities across the patient journey, from awareness to adherence.
• Assess where DTP models can create meaningful value, and define strategy by asset and therapy area; build scalable capabilities that reduce patient friction and improve measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across commercial, medical, access, patient services, IT and analytics to deliver end-to-end DTP solutions.
• Establish metrics, governance and processes to measure impact and drive continuous improvement.
• Translate strategic direction into actionable programs and roadmaps, with clear accountable owners.

What We're Looking For

• Strategic, execution-focused leader with experience in market transformation and patient-centric program design, ideally in direct-to-patient or access-related initiatives.
• Ability to define and prioritize strategy by asset and therapy area; strong program management and change management skills.
• Proven cross-functional leadership and collaboration with commercial, medical, access, and digital/IT teams.
• Deep understanding of the patient journey and factors affecting awareness, activation, care access, therapy start and adherence.
• Strong analytical capabilities to measure impact and drive data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
