About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Market Specialist – Greater China to drive business growth, strengthen trade partnerships, and expand brand presence across the Greater China market.
This role combines sales, relationship management, market development, reservations support, and digital engagement. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison for travel partners and guests from Greater China, ensuring seamless communication, exceptional service delivery, and strong market visibility.
Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Trade Partnerships
-
Identify, onboard, and develop relationships with Destination Management Companies (DMCs), luxury travel agencies, and tour operators across Greater China.

Conduct trade sales calls, office visits, and product presentations.

Develop and execute strategies to increase bookings and market penetration.

Maintain strong relationships with travel trade partners to drive long-term business growth.

Provide partners with updates on product offerings, availability, and promotional opportunities.

Market Representation & Brand Promotion

Represent the organization at trade shows, roadshows, exhibitions, networking events, and industry gatherings.

Plan and coordinate familiarization trips (FAM trips) for travel partners, influencers, and key stakeholders.

Support conversion activities following trade and marketing engagements.

Promote brand awareness and strengthen market presence throughout Greater China.

Guest & Partner Coordination
-
Serve as the primary point of contact between resort operations and guests traveling from Greater China.

Coordinate guest requests and special requirements with operational teams.

Ensure seamless communication between partners, guests, and resort teams.
-
Visit properties when required to support guest experiences and operational coordination.

Digital Marketing & Social Media Support

Support market-specific social media initiatives and content strategies.

Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams on market communications.

Assist with activities relating to platforms such as WeChat and Red Book (Xiaohongshu).

Coordinate with influencers, KOLs, public relations agencies, and marketing partners to maximize market exposure.

Reporting & Market Intelligence

Maintain CRM records and ensure all account activities are accurately documented.

Track account performance, market feedback, booking conversions, and partner engagement.

Monitor competitor activities and market developments.

Provide recommendations to support business growth and market strategy.
Requirements
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury hospitality sales, travel trade, destination management, or related areas focused on the Greater China market.

Established network of luxury travel agencies, tour operators, and DMCs across Greater China.

Native or fluent Mandarin Chinese and fluent English (spoken and written).

Strong understanding of the Greater China luxury travel market.

Proven ability to convert trade relationships into confirmed business.

Strong presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.

Experience managing accounts and opportunities through CRM platforms.

Familiarity with Chinese social media platforms such as WeChat and Red Book (Xiaohongshu).

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Willingness to travel frequently across Greater China and overseas destinations.

Preferred Qualifications

Cantonese language skills.

Experience working with KOLs, influencers, and PR agencies.

Experience working with luxury travel representation companies or GSAs.

Exposure to luxury travel destinations and ultra-luxury hospitality brands.

Experience collaborating with international teams across multiple time zones.
