About this role
Job title: Market Intelligence Lead
About the Role As Market Intelligence Lead, you’ll drive category visibility and help protect margin by tracking where your brand appears, how it’s priced, promoted, and positioned across retailers. You’ll turn insights from pricing, promotions, and availability into strategies that win in the market.
What You'll Do
- Spot price changes across the full category and determine whether moves indicate a market shift or temporary noise, enabling you to react when it matters and safeguard margin.
- Track live price movement across retailers to monitor category dynamics and competitor moves.
- Identify execution gaps by spotting missing or incorrectly listed products or launches, and compare performance across retailers to determine if issues are isolated or recurring.
- Monitor ratings and reviews by retailer; track sentiment and spot declines early to protect conversion and sales.
- Analyze past pricing, promotions, and availability data to understand where margin was lost and where competitors gained ground during key retail moments, informing future strategy.
- Define your scope across hundreds of categories, retailers, and competitors to create a consistent reference point for pricing alignment.
- Identify sustained patterns by analyzing pricing gaps, promotion activity, coverage shifts, and price-tier positioning over time.
- Set alerts for meaningful changes and use SKU-level tools to verify price, availability, and promotion status; act on confirmed patterns rather than single-day movement.
- Move from market insight to SKU-level action, validating product-level data in-app or as you browse.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to monitor category-wide price trends and brand visibility across retailers, and track competitor movements all in one place.
- Experience spotting price and promo gaps across retailers and protecting margin integrity.
- Understanding of price tier distribution and how products are positioned across entry, mid, and premium tiers.
- Capability to monitor retailer investment in your brand via assortment depth and coverage changes.
- Skill to detect brand momentum early by combining listings, availability, and review signals.
- Experience moving from market insights to SKU-level action, with rapid validation in-app.
