  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Change teams and other specialists to support effective delivery of market change.

  • Share knowledge and technical expertise across the Market Design team and wider Elexon.

  • Continue developing your understanding of BSC arrangements, industry codes and emerging market developments, adopting new analytical tools and methodologies where appropriate.

What you’ll bring:

  • Good understanding of Balancing and Settlement Code (BSC) obligations, systems and processes, with specialist knowledge in particular areas of market design.

  • Understanding of how industry change impacts BSC systems and customer processes.

  • Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of BSC Parties, BSC Agents and their agents.

  • Experience undertaking technical analysis, market assessments or industry change activities.

  • Ability to interpret complex market arrangements, identify issues and develop practical recommendations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate findings clearly.

  • Good stakeholder engagement and customer service skills, including working with internal teams and external parties.

  • Willingness to learn complex technical arrangements and procedures across the BSC and other industry codes.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to different audiences.

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and willingness to develop knowledge of new analytical tools.

  • Relevant academic or professional experience.

  • A proactive, accountable approach to managing work and delivering high-quality outcomes.

It would also be beneficial if you have:

  • Knowledge of electricity market arrangements governed by other industry codes and agreements.

  • Understanding of emerging energy market developments and their potential impact on Elexon and the wider industry.

  • Experience contributing to industry consultations or regulatory change initiatives.

  • Experience presenting to technical groups, industry stakeholders or wider audiences.

  • Experience using data analysis and processing tools.

  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies or an interest in developing these skills.

What’s in it for you:
