Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Market Data Specialist to help evaluate competitor pricing and promotional activity and turn that information into actionable insights. This role is suitable for an individual who enjoys working with data, identifying trends, and communicating findings to business stakeholders. This position will support high-frequency tracking of competitive promotional activity across key eCommerce and retail websites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and analyze competitor promotions, pricing, and new behavior.

  • Identify trends, patterns, and changes in promotional activity.

  • Organize and maintain competitive promotional data, capturing details like price, offer mechanics, and timing.

  • Analyze data using tools such as Excel and Power BI.

  • Create reports, dashboards, and summaries to communicate findings.

  • Translate data into clear insights and recommendations for business teams.

  • Work cross-functionally with Channel Marketing, eCommerce, and Sales to answer questions and support promotional decisions.

  • Help improve reporting and analysis processes, including identifying opportunities for automation.

  • Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in analytics, pricing, promotions, competitive intelligence, retail, eCommerce, or a related field.

  • Strong Excel skills, including structured tables, lookups, and data validation, with comfort working with large datasets.

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.

  • Ability to identify the story behind the data, not just report numbers.

  • Strong written communication and organizational skills.

  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience analyzing pricing, promotions, retail, eCommerce, or competitive data.

  • SQL experience.

  • Experience with Power Query, Power Automate, Python, or web-data extraction tools.

  • Experience building dashboards or recurring reports.

  • Background working with Product, Marketing, Sales, eCommerce, or Category teams.

  • Knowledge of product catalogs, SKU matching, or retailer merchandising practices.
