ArcelorMittal Global R&D Flat Portfolio is dedicated to the continuous improvement of ArcelorMittal’s product and solution offering, while driving the development of innovative new products that address evolving customer and industry needs. These activities are guided by market intelligence, enabling a comprehensive assessment of market landscapes across regions and a clear understanding of their specific trends, opportunities, and requirements.

Your role

As Market Analyst, your will be asked to:

  • Perform detailed market deep-dives: develop market assessments, forecasts, and strategic outlooks for key segments and geographies.
  • Perform technology scouting: monitor emerging technologies by domain, assess their maturity and potential using defined KPIs, and evaluate their likely steel demand and geographic relevance.
  • Translate data and insights into clear reports, dashboards, presentations, and executive summaries tailored to different stakeholders.
  • Network development: build trusted relationships with experts, organisations, customers, and potential R&D partners in relevant emerging and established markets.
  • Deepening the use of AI: develop and test AI-supported approaches for structuring and conducting market-intelligence analyses.
  • Act as a key interface between technical, commercial, and industrial stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and value realization.

Your profile

  • You hold a Master’s degree or a PhD in Economics or Engineering and have more than three years of experience in a comparable role within an industrial or R&D environment.
  • You have strong knowledge of steel products, their properties, and processing technologies.
  • You are proficient in market research methodologies and data analysis tools.
  • You are experienced in the use of AI-powered tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • You can synthesize large volumes of information into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
  • You are fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in other European languages would be an advantage.
  • You demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and can collaborate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are motivated to contribute to a positive, welcoming, and collaborative environment in a multi-cultural team.
  • You are willing to travel within Europe.
