Job title: Manufacturing/Electrical Engineer
About the Role This position commonly reports to the Facilities Manager and may perform one or more of the following engineering functions: Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Controls Engineering. The incumbent provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of products, processes, plans and procedures, and designs methods to improve efficiency in production, reduce process variability and assure compliance with approved methods and quality standards. Independent judgment is exercised in evaluating possible courses of action, including stopping the manufacturing process when appropriate. The role may supervise other engineers and/or technicians on an ongoing basis or as needed for the term of assigned projects.
What You'll Do
- Specify and design equipment for the manufacturing process.
- Apply process, manufacturing, or controls engineering to projects and initiatives.
- Develop and implement products, processes, plans and procedures with expert judgment.
- Design methods to improve efficiency, reduce process variability, and assure compliance with approved methods and quality standards.
- Exercise independent judgment to stop the manufacturing process when necessary.
- May supervise other engineers and/or technicians on an ongoing basis or as needed for assigned projects.
- May be involved in procurement of equipment and related services.
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years of experience in controls engineering.
- Experience in process, manufacturing, or controls engineering and the ability to design, develop and implement manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Ability to work on-site at the Milwaukie, OR facility and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to supervise engineers/technicians and manage project teams as needed.
