Job title: Manufacturing Technology Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer
About the Role Chemours is seeking a Manufacturing Technology Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join our Thermal & Specialized Solutions team at the Corpus Christi Plant (Ingleside, TX). This role reports to the Manufacturing Technology Manager and serves as a Plant Support Engineer for multiple Chemours assets, providing E&I engineering guidance to Operations, Maintenance, and Technology teams. The position involves day-to-day troubleshooting and driving improvement programs in safety, uptime, reliability, cost, and capital projects.
What You'll Do
- Provide engineering and troubleshooting assistance to the site’s unit processes (synthesis, refining, storage, and shipping) to maintain and improve safety, operability, quality, and cost.
- Support for cost and capital projects to improve safety, quality, environment, and/or cost; scope, justify, and coordinate installation of new or modified facilities.
- Provide technical expertise to specify and maintain systems including PLCs, interlocks, and DCS; low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems (MCCs, switchgear, relays, cables).
- Deploy transmitters, flowmeters, pressure and level devices, control valves, motors, variable speed drives, etc.
- Lead and participate in Safety, Reliability and Quality investigations to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge through training and professional involvement; provide shift/weekend coverage for start-ups, tests, maintenance turnarounds, or other non-routine needs.
